Sunday, was Sun day and the yearly meeting of the SRBS Bracco and Spinone club. So we did a quick work with just heeling before and a longer one with most everything obedience like after in the sun warm sand that is our garden. Becca is slowly starting to get the grip of where Heel is, we will have to click that in intensely during next week. Jump in her opinion is in the air and has not so much to do with the actual fence. I have to get more and different kind of fences to make it more obvious for her. At the moment we use a bucket, the good thing with that is that it's not fenced in, you can't step on it and it is slim. But it's tricky to get the dog to get a grip of it. For Iza jump is more of a search for a fence and jump that, but she needs experience of more and different types to.
The beginners class retrieve has actually worked for both dogs, though they found it boring in the beginning but with a reward ( a dummy) thrown in at random places during the retrieve, they both found it more and more interesting. The knowledge of words are getting better and better, and so is the passive contact. Iza still has not decided whether the square is for retrieving or putting her paws on, but we're working on that bit. The heeling is progressing, what felt like a mountain to climb has actually got something looking like tiny paths. But it's far from a highway 😅🙈 And yes we have booked a new puppy, a Chesapeake Bay retriever, that will not freeze when working in Tåkern and be able to actually get through the vegetation in the most intense bird habitat in Northern Europe! I'm actually looking forward for summer to end 🤓🤣 Kommentarerna är stängda.
