Yesterday was meeting up with the obedience group, for the first time after the class ended. I brought both Becca and Iza and warmed up with building a and old Rallylydnad's competition that I found online. The rally turned out to be more or less in slow speed for half of the time and the tricky thing was to actually remember to slow walk in between the signs! Rallylydnad is a great way for me to get the dogs positive and on their toes, you never correct your dog, just make a repetition until it works and reward. I guess that is th perfect way for any dog and any human to train, learn and live 😍 Then Becca and I got help through the motions of beginners class in obedience, well at least that was the intention. I could tell that a young girl and a pick nick bag was quite a big distraction for us! Well we all got ourselves a great laugh and Becca was pleased with her actions, what a judge would have thought doesn't really matter at the time. One interesting thing is that if Becca is 100% sure what to do she chooses to laying down!!! Never thought she would become one of those dogs 😃 Then we took a break and after that I helped a fellow 'student' with her dog, who obviously had got such a good grip of what we have been working on that we needed to step up our game to keep her attention and focus if she shouldn't be starting to wander off in thoughts. Interesting to watch and one could really have the use of a pair or eyes in the back of once head. As you often could see in the dogs way to walk what was about to happen in the next three steps and that the reward or correction needed to come so much earlier than you can give it when you can't see behind you. I really need to start to use the mirrors much more from now on!
Iza was more on her toes than ever, trying to second guess my every move and to do what ever can be asked before it is asked. So I need to learn how to deep breath and yawn a lot in between the different motions and not to do this program more. We can do parts of it, but not in a linked chain, as she will try to plan ahead then 😉 Ebba? Well Wednesdays are spa days so she had a bath, tried out our new 'blaster' / hair dryer which made drying her super easy, and son training of course. Iza got to try the blaster as well, I will not pretend that she loved it, but compared to wear a blanket it's okay by her opinion 😉 Today we'll work indoors, my body doesn't need this weather and is a pain in the butt in every way possible 😜 Kommentarerna är stängda.
