I really tried to update our website, but as our fibre connection had fallen down from it's socket during the weekend and the 3G net is slower than slow, that doesn't work... So I will just write it here and publish it on our website http://www.kennelgoldflames.com/ when we're with wifi again. On our drive home from the shows we found a recently hit hare, so Tuesday morning was retrieving work for Becca. She's entered for an obedience competition on the 16th and I really have no idea how we're supposed to make that with out a bunch of treats. But I will not force our work, just taking one step at a time and probably not do the whole competition. It's not important to make the whole thing, the important thing is to maintain her happiness and confidence. Iza is a bit confused about the heeling as heeling at a show tend to be a bit in front of me and about the position of delivery when retrieving as water and hunting retrieving is in front, not at the side of me. I don't correct her, just wait for her to search the right position and reward it. That's tough enough when you look forward to a reward. The out and turn command is beginning to settle. But we're not doing the whole chain of beginners class in obedience with out treats yet. Perhaps we will manage to get there before the 16th, perhaps not. I really don't feel any pressure to making the date, it's the road to the goal that is important to me. And we're entered for 3 more competitions during July, so there's plenty of time to work on that. Ebba has stepped up her game, she is retrieving the heavy wooden dummy now. Not for any longer distances of course, but still I find that quite impressive. She can find the heeling position from a distance, not with out jumping and playing around, but she has figured out where it is. She can do the lay down while heeling and sit and stay for a 4-5 meters distance and the out command is up to 7 meters. So now we will start working with more scented dummies like rabbit and pheasants. The countdown to our first meeting with our future Chesapeake Bay Retriever has begun. Her work name is Hagel and after spending two days with Anahita Arai and her lovely champion boy Double Coats Lurch, we long even more for her arrival. Edda and Pernilla Folkesson has found a working group to develop their skills with. We really look forward to following your whereabouts and progress, and long to meet your new little puppy ❤️ Summoning the shows up I find them to fit into these words: Love, friendship and new friends! I've never had so many strangers walk up and tell me that they love my dog and the way she represented the Epagneul Breton or Brittany Breed. I never felt such a great friendship and companionship with in the breed and the pointing dog group. And I haven't had the opportunity to spend time with so many old and new dog related friends in years ❤️ Thank you all for making this weekend unforgettable! 😊😊😊 We wish to send a huge thank you for all the prices and gifts 'Iza' Patouche Mirabelle was rewarded with last weekend! A huge and warm hug to Försäkringsbolaget Agria, Gisslen & Fischer, Östergötlands kennelklubb och Lupus AB / Fourfriends hundfoder.
