training for the hunting season we:
- build dog runs
- do gardening (haven't done a thing with it during the whole summer 🙈)
- kick bike
- do heel work
- and are turning normal as we finally get a TV, haven't had one since beginning of April 😇
Well I don't know what to say but Thank You Patricia Rush
for this incredible dog and thank You Anki Johansson for believing in our young girl!
She did it again her 12 th Best of Breed in 12 shows this time under Jasna Matejcic, Croatia and then BIG-4 under Paula Sunebring. Patouche Mirabelle 17 months old bred by Patricia Rush, such an amazing dog you have created ❤️
Tonight, we try duck hunt 😃
It's a lovely evening, but a bit too good weather, unfortunately. So the few ducks 🦆 that are actually flying are flying way too high up 😄
Went home with one duck, so Iza could at least make one retrieve from the boat. She thought it was a little strange that we should be so still for so long time, and she found that quite hard at times to get stuck in the same position. So it became a good training session in passivity. It's tough to stay calm, when it's flying straight above the head of oneself at Northern Europe's most intense bird lake...
Some of us just love hotels others long to be somewhere greener ❤️#dogshow #gundogs #hotellife #epagneulbreton #americancocker
It's not that we're not working, well perhaps we've been working a bit too much for my body to be on the right side of a #fibroflare but just give me some time to heal and regroup and then I'll start updating the blog again #fibrofighter #fibromyalgiasucks
Oh it feel like I´ve done nothing seriously with the dogs lately, I know it´s just a feeling but I am aware of it being just a feeling.
As Hagel is getting a grip of sit, lay down, stand, fetch, come here and her name and she has been with us for 2 weeks yesterday - we must have done something right during these days ;)
Ebba thought I was joking when I did a out that was less than 10 meters yesterday, as she has been tracking rabbit that is over 25-50 meters, I got the point.. We have added some of the Rally lydnad positions to our daily routine and slalom. The distance and flow in her sit, lay and stand is slowly progressing. Well to me it is slowly, but when you do not record it everything seems so slow. And when you compare an old film to a new one, well then there is obvious progress. We have tried search i walked square and up to 15 pick ups in a row. But there is huge difference between lifting up a thing and searching and finding one, so yesterday we did a blind search with over 20 different objects to find. When Ebba had found 5 I was more than satisfied. Well and her pattern and search is developing very, very nicely. Yeah we can not go out in the fields yet as we are not allowed to, but she feels very promising in the hunting area.
Iza is 16 months old now, and questioning everything twice! Why aren´t I´m allowed to hunt while retrieving, why can´t the hare i our neighbors garden be mine to hunt, why the heck does not magpie and Fieldfare count as real game? And those silly retrieves that are not even real birds, why shall i do those, you know that I can retrieve! And when we are heeling, I can multitask - like with no effort, so why am I not allowed to hunt while we do that... Well I am glad that we have these discussions now and not on a field trial. Fingers crossed that we sort this out befor the hunting season starts!!!
Becca is supposed to be in season, she is swollen, moody and well all signs of being in season but not a drop of blood yet and she is a messy thing when in season. So I guess it´s just days... But this time around she is working great in all ways, focus on top and so happy to do anything. I love that!
Well all of us write here, both humans and dogs ;) At least that was the plan but it seems it´s mostly me Robyn who´s attached to the keyboard...
